In the "Locations" tab in the left side menu, click on "Add a location".
You can create a new location in 5 steps:
- Main information
- Geolocation
- Detailed description
- Opening hours
- Publication
1. Main information
Fill in the name and address of your location:
- Location name*: enter your location name. The name is used as the title on the location page, in the SEO content, in SEO tags and in the location page URL.
We advise you not to fill in: The location type (boutique, agency, salon...). This key word is already used in the content and you should be careful not to create duplicates as that could have a negative impact on your location referencing. Example of what not to do: Boutique Merevo Chambery
We suggest you fill in: Your brand name and the name of the town. This is the best solution for good local referencing. Check that each shop has a different location name. When there are several locations in the same town, you can add a specificity such as the district or street. Example to follow: Merevo Paris Champs Elysées
- Street address* (line 1): enter the number and street name without abbreviations. This field is required for geolocation purposes.
- Street address (line 2): Enter additional address details (shopping centre, industrial park, etc.)
- Zip code: enter the postcode. If the location is in a country that does not use postcodes, leave the box empty.
- City*: enter the town name. Do not add any other details such as district or corporate postcode as that could block geolocation.
- Country*: choose the country where the location is situated from the drop-down menu.
Next, fill in contact details for your location:
- Phone: enter the telephone number for the location if you want it displayed on the Store Locator.
- Fax (information not currently used)
- Email (information not currently used)
Lastly, enter the administrative information:
- Location type (optional): specify location type (distributor, dealer, etc.). This field only appears if there are different location types on your client account
- Registration number: you can give a registration number (DUNS, SIRET, ACN, etc.)
- Custom ID: you can give a personalised ID so that you can easily identify your locations when importing/exporting
- Website (optional): this field appears in the specific case of "Online listing without Local Pages" services so that you can enter the URL of your location’s local page if it is not managed by BRIDGE
- Labels: you can allocate labels to your location. These labels allow you to filter your locations easily according to label
When the obligatory fields (*) are filled in, you can go to the next step by clicking on "Next step".
2. Geolocation
BRIDGE automatically geolocates your location using the address entered in step 1. You can, however, adjust the geolocation for your location by moving the marker on the map or by filling in the GPS coordinates directly.
You can go the next step by clicking on "Next step".
3. Detailed description
Enter the detailed description and the custom data for your location:
- Description: the default description is displayed. You can personalise by selecting "Set specific description".
- Transport / Access information: fill in the practical information for getting to your location (direction to follow, nearest bus line, etc.)
- Parking information: give information on nearby parking (car park address, number of parking spaces, etc.).
- Other fields (optional): fill in the other specific fields defined when you set up the BRIDGE interface for your client account.
You can go the next step by clicking on "Next step".
4. Opening hours
Enter the opening and closing times for your location for each day of the week and/or go directly to the final step by clicking on "Next step".
5. Publication
Choose to activate your location or not, then click on "Save location" to finish creating.
If you activate your location it will appear straight away in the BRIDGE modules (Store Locator, Online Listing).
